The Fate/strange Fake TV anime is officially returning with a new season. Aniplex announced the continuation during the Fate/strange Fake panel at Anime NYC, confirming the news with a new promotional video and teaser visual.
The announcement follows the end of the anime’s first season, which concluded with its 13th episode in March. The series had already teased its continuation through a “To be continued” message, and Aniplex has now confirmed that the story will move forward. No release date or episode count for the new season has been announced.
The official announcement also included comments from original author Ryohgo Narita. Aniplex shared the new promotional material after the Anime NYC reveal.
The anime adapts Ryohgo Narita’s Fate/strange Fake light novel series, which expands the Fate universe with a new and highly unusual Holy Grail War set in the American city of Snowfield.
The first season was produced by A-1 Pictures, with Shun Enokido and Takahito Sakazume directing. Daisuke Daitō handled the series composition, Yūkei Yamada served as character designer and chief animation director, and Hiroyuki Sawano composed the music.
The first season premiered in January 2026 and continued the story introduced in the 2023 special Fate/strange Fake -Whispers of Dawn. Crunchyroll currently streams the anime internationally in multiple regions.
The new season announcement confirms that the chaotic false Holy Grail War is far from over. With Masters, Servants, and several mysterious factions still caught in Snowfield’s increasingly dangerous conflict, the next chapter could push the anime deeper into the story’s biggest mysteries.
