Kou Sawada’s risque comedy manga Yumeneconnect is getting a television anime adaptation, Shochiku announced on October 14, 2026. The series follows a lonely high school student whose wish for friends brings an eccentric alien into his life, setting off a string of bizarre encounters.

Yūsuke Kobayashi will voice protagonist Yūhi Takamiya, while Yū Sasahara plays Nano, an alien from the planet Pokotsun. Sōta Yokote, known for directing To Your Eternity Season 3, will direct the anime at Studio Massket.

Gigaemon Echikawa will oversee and write the series scripts, while Yoshihiro Watanabe handles character designs. Hayato Matsumura is composing the music, with Lantis managing music production. Shochiku’s anime division is presenting the project.

The story centers on Yūhi, a sickly boy who has been absent from school since his first day of high school. After desperately wishing for friends, he encounters Nano, who tries to sell him bizarre products, including a creature described as one of the galaxy’s most dangerous life forms.

Sawada launched the manga in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in September 2024. Kodansha is scheduled to release its 10th compiled volume on October 16, 2026. The anime’s premiere date has not yet been announced.
