The post-apocalyptic manga Tsugumi Project is officially receiving a TV anime adaptation. The announcement was accompanied by the launch of an official teaser website, along with the first teaser trailer and key visual, giving fans an early look at the upcoming series.
Tthe anime will adapt ippatu’s action manga, which was serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine from January 2021 to September 2023.
Kodansha USA describes the story as following Leon, a soldier falsely accused of a crime and sent on a near-impossible mission. Tasked with recovering a mysterious weapon called Tsugumi, Leon enters a devastated Japan overrun by gigantic irradiated monsters, where survival is far from guaranteed.
Before its Japanese serialization, French publisher Ki-oon debuted the manga as an original title in France in 2019. The series concluded with seven collected volumes, with the final Japanese volume releasing in November 2023 and the English edition arriving in September 2025.
The production committee has not yet revealed the anime’s staff, cast, or release date, but the first teaser confirms that development is underway.
