The Berserk of Gluttony anime is officially returning in 2027. The announcement was confirmed through an official press release from Micro Magazine, which also revealed that Ryota Osaka, the voice of protagonist Fate Graphite, has already begun recording for the new season.
The sequel will continue Fate’s story following the first season, which aired in 2023 and was streamed internationally by Crunchyroll.
Osaka also released a video message celebrating the announcement and offered fans a glimpse at the recording process. He revealed that, as in the first season, there are many exchanges between Fate and Greed, voiced by Tomokazu Seki.
The actor said Seki brings “quite a lot of ad-libs” to their scenes, prompting him to respond with improvisation of his own. Osaka added that he is eager to see how much of their work ultimately appears in the finished episodes.
The first season followed Fate, a young man initially considered worthless because of his Gluttony skill. His life changes after he discovers that the ability allows him to absorb the powers of those he kills, leading him into increasingly dangerous conflicts.
With voice recording already underway, Berserk of Gluttony Season 2 is now moving toward its 2027 debut.
