The final chapter of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is officially on the horizon, with new details confirming its release date, main visual, and theme songs. Announced via the anime’s official X account the fourth and final cour—titled Kashin-tan (The Calamity)—will premiere on July 25, 2026, in Japan.

The update not only sets the stage for the anime’s conclusion but also offers fans a deeper look into the creative decisions behind its music and visual direction.

Final Arc Release Date and Broadcast Details

The concluding part of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc will begin airing on TV Tokyo and affiliated networks from July 25 at 11:00 PM JST. Streaming will follow shortly after, starting July 26 across multiple platforms.

This final cour continues the adaptation of Tite Kubo’s original manga, bringing one of anime’s most iconic modern arcs to its long-awaited conclusion. The series, which first returned in 2022 after years of hiatus, has steadily built toward this climactic ending.

The newly released key visual offers a striking preview of what’s to come. It depicts protagonist Ichigo Kurosaki, bruised and battle-worn, kneeling in a desolate terrain as he prepares to strike. Looming above him is Yhwach, the arc’s primary antagonist, symbolizing the final and decisive confrontation.

This imagery reflects the tone of the final cour—high stakes, emotional intensity, and a battle that will determine the fate of the Soul Society.

The visual has already generated significant discussion among fans, with many interpreting it as a representation of Ichigo’s resilience and determination in the face of overwhelming odds.

Theme Songs Revealed With Creator’s Personal Input

One of the most notable announcements is the reveal of the opening and ending theme songs. The opening track, “I-BULL,” will be performed by jo0ji, while the ending theme, “Spiral,” will be sung by 9Lana.

What makes this selection particularly interesting is the level of involvement from Tite Kubo himself. According to his comments shared via Comic Natalie, he personally reviewed songs from the demo stage before making final decisions.

“I decided on all the theme songs… by listening to them from the demo stage,”

Kubo explained, emphasizing his hands-on approach. He also added,

“I wanted as many new artists as possible to take part in the series,”

highlighting his intention to introduce audiences to fresh talent through the anime.

Why These Songs Were Chosen

Kubo provided detailed reasoning behind each selection. For the opening theme, he wanted something impactful to match the scale of the final arc.

“Since it was the final cour, I wanted a song that would have an impact,”

he noted. After multiple discussions and revisions, jo0ji’s track stood out as the perfect fit.

For the ending theme, Kubo praised 9Lana’s “Spiral” for its overall quality, stating that “the melody, lyrics, and arrangement are all very strong.” He also pointed out that the song’s opening would transition smoothly into the closing moments of each episode, enhancing the emotional experience.

Both artists also shared their excitement. jo0ji described the opportunity as deeply meaningful, saying he “couldn’t be happier” to contribute to a series he grew up watching. Meanwhile, 9Lana expressed her surprise and gratitude, calling the experience “like a dream.”
