The Cardfight!! Vanguard franchise is expanding its anime lineup with two new projects. On October 28, the franchise announced Cardfight!! Vanguard Veil Lift, a new television anime, alongside a second season of the mini anime adaptation of Kaeru DX’s Ghost Meets Gal manga. The announcements were shared through the franchise’s official social media account, with a promotional video for Veil Lift and an announcement image for Ghost Meets Gal.
The news arrives during the franchise’s 15th-anniversary celebrations, which have already included plans for a completely new television anime in 2027. However, further details about Veil Lift, including its story, characters, staff, and broadcast schedule, have not yet been disclosed. According to the announcement, fans can expect another update on December 7.
Cardfight!! Vanguard Veil Lift Gets a New Anime Announcement
Veil Lift is the latest addition to the long-running Cardfight!! Vanguard anime franchise. Although its announcement video confirms the project, the production team has yet to reveal details about its plot or how it will connect with the existing series.
The franchise has continued to develop its anime lineup through multiple installments, including overDress, will+Dress, and the DivineZ saga. The new television anime was previously teased as part of the franchise’s 15th-anniversary plans, with a 2027 broadcast window announced earlier this year. More information about Veil Lift is expected to clarify the project’s place in the franchise.
The announcement also confirmed a second season for Ghost Meets Gal, the mini anime based on Kaeru DX’s manga. The first season premiered on September 5, 2026, and follows Rubuna and Santi as they pursue their dream of becoming idols.
AtoriE is producing the mini anime, with Karin Kagami voicing Rubuna and Yūka Nishio playing Santi. The band Mugendai Mewtype, associated with the BanG Dream! franchise, performs the theme song, “Nikoichi Mirai.” The season two announcement did not include a release date or additional production details.
The original manga’s supernatural comedy and idol-focused premise give the spin-off a different tone from the main card-battle anime. Further information about the sequel’s cast, staff, and release schedule has yet to be announced. The official Ghost Meets Gal anime website provides updates on the ongoing series.
Meanwhile, the main Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez anime is approaching another major milestone. The three-episode Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez Unmei Seisen-hen, described as the final arc of the DivineZ saga, is scheduled to begin its Japanese television broadcast on November 7, 2026. Episodes are also expected to stream on Japanese platforms, including ABEMA, d Anime Store, Hulu, Prime Video, and U-NEXT.
The arc follows the events of the previous Divinez installments and brings the ongoing storyline toward its conclusion. The latest announcements show that Bushiroad is continuing to expand the franchise through both its central card-battle series and smaller spin-offs.
With Veil Lift awaiting its next information reveal and Ghost Meets Gal Season 2 now confirmed, fans can expect more updates as the franchise’s anniversary year continues.
