Kaiju Decode: The Ring of Aidara is set to premiere in 2027, with Tsuburaya Productions and Toei Animation unveiling the anime’s first teaser trailer and a new promotional visual on October 18, 2026.

The announcement offers an early look at the next instalment of the studios’ CG anime project, which combines monster storytelling with characters from contrasting worlds.

The series takes place in Sakai, Osaka Prefecture, and continues the franchise’s focus on kaiju and girls.

Maru and Coco Lead the New Kaiju Decode Story

The anime follows Maru, a boy from the City voiced by Aya Yamane, and Coco, a girl from the Aidara tribe voiced by Karin Takahashi. Coco lives in the dangerous Zone, where monstrous beasts roam, setting up a story that brings together characters from very different environments.

The newly revealed teaser visual was illustrated by JNTHED, known for work on Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury. It offers another glimpse of the project as the studios prepare for its planned 2027 debut.

Katsuie Shibata is writing the screenplay, while Masayuki Gotou is responsible for monster designs. Sei Nakashima, whose credits include concept art work for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, is designing Maru. Masatsugu Saitō is handling Coco’s character design.

The newly revealed visual introduces the world of Kaiju Decode The Ring of Aidara ahead of its planned 2027 debut.

The project builds on earlier Kaiju Decode releases. In December 2021, the franchise introduced a CG anime short and a VR short titled Kaiju Decode: First Contact. Both served as the first part of a larger project developed by Tsuburaya Productions and Toei Animation.

With its new trailer, Kaiju Decode: The Ring of Aidara is expanding that world through a fresh setting and a new central cast. More details about the anime, including further staff announcements and its exact 2027 release date, have yet to be revealed.
