Smilegate has officially kicked off global pre-registration for MIRESI: Invisible Future, its upcoming collectible RPG developed by Control9. The announcement comes just ahead of Anime Expo 2026, where the game will make its first playable appearance in North America and give attendees an early look at its strategic gameplay and anime-inspired world.
The publisher is also preparing several activities for visitors at the event, including exclusive rewards for those who complete pre-registration at the MIRESI booth. While the game’s release date remains under wraps, Smilegate says more information will be revealed in the months ahead.
Players can pre-register now ahead of Anime Expo 2026
The newly launched pre-registration page allows players to sign up before MIRESI: Invisible Future officially launches on PC and mobile. Smilegate confirmed that Anime Expo 2026 visitors will be able to experience the game firsthand during the convention, marking its first public hands-on demo in North America.
Those attending the event can also receive special in-game rewards by completing their pre-registration at the Smilegate booth. The publisher says the initiative is designed to introduce MIRESI to a wider international audience while giving fans an opportunity to interact with the development team and learn more about the upcoming RPG.
Control9, the studio behind MIRESI, was founded by developers who previously contributed to successful games such as Goddess of Victory: NIKKE and Seven Knights 2, adding further attention to the project’s debut.
Time-bending battles and anime-inspired visuals
MIRESI: Invisible Future takes place in a world where time and space have become intertwined. Players step into the role of the Councilor, joining heroines such as Ende, Tieria, and Itsuka on a journey to prevent an era from collapsing.
The game combines real-time and turn-based mechanics into a strategy-focused combat system where movement and positioning influence every encounter. Smilegate says this approach reflects the game’s core theme while encouraging players to think carefully about battlefield tactics instead of relying solely on character strength.
The title also features artwork led by illustrator Hyung-sup Kim (Hyulla), whose previous contributions to Goddess of Victory: NIKKE and other subculture games have made him a familiar name among fans of the genre.
Commenting on the announcement, Jae-young Han, Head of Business for MIRESI at Smilegate, explained why the company chose to launch pre-registration alongside its Anime Expo appearance.
“With our participation in Anime Expo, we wanted to create an opportunity to introduce MIRESI to global players and communicate with them more closely, which is why we launched the pre-registration page. We will continue to gradually reveal more news and updates about MIRESI through various channels, and we hope for your continued interest and excitement.”
Smilegate has not yet announced an official release date for MIRESI: Invisible Future, but confirmed that additional details about the game’s launch and services will be shared through its official channels in the future.
