Smilegate is stepping up its presence at Anime Expo 2026 with a large-scale showcase centered around two of its upcoming titles, MIRESI: Invisible Future and Chaos Zero Nightmare. The company has now revealed detailed plans for its booth activations, confirming a mix of gameplay demos, live sessions, and interactive attractions designed to draw in both anime fans and gamers.

Taking place this July at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the event will mark an important moment for both projects, especially as Smilegate continues to build its audience in North America.

MIRESI Focuses on Immersion and First-Time Gameplay

MIRESI: Invisible Future will headline Smilegate’s West Hall presence with its first playable demo in North America. Instead of a standard booth setup, the experience is built around immersion, giving attendees multiple ways to interact with the game’s world.

A centerpiece attraction is the LED experience zone, a four-sided display that surrounds visitors with visuals from the game. The setup, which previously appeared at international events, allows fans to engage directly with characters in a more dynamic format. Completing these interactions rewards players with character-themed Polaroid collectibles.

The booth will also feature a 360-degree photo installation, letting fans capture stylized images from every angle. Cosplay-focused activities are another key part of the experience, including a turntable challenge where participants attempt to sync their timing with a rotating performer. Visitors can even step onto the platform themselves, turning the activity into a participatory event.

Rewards play a major role throughout the booth. By completing missions and collecting stamps, attendees can earn exclusive items such as a PVC bag and a themed happi coat featuring one of the game’s characters.

Live Drawing Event Adds Creative Spotlight

One of the more unique highlights tied to MIRESI is a live drawing panel led by Hyung-seop Kim, known for his work on popular titles like Destiny Child and NIKKE. Scheduled for July 4 at 8:45 PM, the session will feature live character illustrations along with guest artists offering their own interpretations.

The panel is positioned as both a fan event and a behind-the-scenes look at character design, giving attendees insight into how anime-style visuals are developed. Those attending will receive a limited-edition postcard, adding to the collectible appeal surrounding the booth.

Chaos Zero Nightmare Expands With Competitive Events and Collectibles

In contrast to MIRESI’s immersive setup, Chaos Zero Nightmare will lean into interactive gameplay-inspired activities at its South Hall Lobby booth. This marks the title’s first offline event in North America, making it a key moment for fan engagement.

The booth will feature a “Dice Battle” challenge based on the game’s mechanics, along with photo opportunities and scheduled appearances from both developers and cosplay models. Autograph sessions are also planned, giving attendees a chance to meet the team behind the game.

A major focus here is the collectible card system. Each activity rewards players with cards, encouraging repeat participation. Completing a full set unlocks a special card, and those who go even further will be entered into a drawing for a 24K gold card. A dedicated trading space will allow fans to exchange cards, adding a social element to the experience.

Developer Panel to Discuss the Future of 2D Anime Games

Chaos Zero Nightmare will also host a developer panel on July 3 at 7:45 PM, featuring key team members including Kim Hyung Suk and Kihyun Kang. The session will explore the current state and future direction of 2D anime-style games, along with insights into the development process behind the title.

Like the booth activities, the panel will include exclusive rewards, with attendees receiving a limited-edition collectible card tied to the event.
