The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World Season 2 has received its main promotional trailer ahead of its October 2026 premiere. The new video offers a closer look at Ray White and the returning cast while introducing several characters who will play important roles in the upcoming season.
According to the anime’s official website source, Season 2 will premiere on TBS on October 8 at 1:28 a.m. JST, followed by BS11 on October 9 at 11:00 p.m. JST. Crunchyroll is also set to stream the new episodes as they air in Japan.
New Characters Expand Ray White’s Next Magical Battle
The new season adds several notable voice actors to the cast. Ryōhei Kimura will play Julius Orphe, Aoi Koga voices Bianca Miller, and Konomi Kohara joins as Emma Clarke. Sōichirō Hoshi returns as Lucas Forst, while Haruka Shiraishi reprises her role as Lizelotte Eden.
Hana Hishikawa also joins the cast as Olivia Arnold, the 14-year-old second princess of the Arnold Kingdom. The official website describes Olivia as a character with considerable charisma and an ability to influence those around her, while her encounter with Ray leads her to take a particular interest in him.
Miyu Kubota will additionally take over the role of Elisa Griffith, replacing Nana Harumura. Harumura retired from voice acting in January 2023 for health reasons.
The returning cast includes Junya Enoki as Ray White, Iori Saeki as Amelia Rose, Akira Sekine as Ariane Olgren, Azumi Waki as Rebecca Bradley, Kaede Hondo as Clarisse Cleveland, Yūichirō Umehara as Evi Armstrong, Kōhei Amasaki as Albert Allium and Atsumi Tanezaki as Stella White.
Season 2 will continue the story several years after the first season, with Ray and his fellow students facing a major new magical competition. The official introduction teases the Magics War, a large-scale battle in which teams of three compete beyond the boundaries of their respective academies.
The production is also changing studios. Zero-G is now handling animation after Cloud Hearts produced the first season. Masahiro Takata returns as director, series composer and sound director, while Mariko Kawamoto takes over character design and chief animation direction.
The new season will feature “Diamond Dust” by Sizuk as its opening theme. Maaya Uchida will perform the ending song, titled “COMPRESSION :[.” The official website has also released comments from the cast, with Ray’s voice actor Junya Enoki encouraging viewers to revisit Season 1 before the new episodes arrive.
The original Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World anime debuted in January 2023 and was streamed internationally by Crunchyroll. Season 2 is now scheduled to continue Ray’s story nearly three years after the first season.
