The Tomb Raider King anime has officially made its debut, with Episode 1 now streaming on Crunchyroll. Fans can watch the series in both Korean and Japanese audio with subtitles following its global launch on July 8 at 10:20 a.m. PT.
Based on the hit South Korean manhwa, the new adaptation brings Jooheon Suh’s time-traveling adventure to animation for the first time. The premiere is available across North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, India, Southeast Asia, and the CIS region (excluding Russia), making the series accessible to viewers in most major international markets.
What is Tomb Raider King about?
The story takes place in a world where mysterious tombs suddenly emerge across the globe, each containing ancient relics capable of granting extraordinary powers. As powerful organizations compete to control these relics, skilled raider Jooheon Suh is betrayed during an expedition and left for dead.
Instead of dying, Jooheon awakens 15 years in the past, armed with memories of the future and years of experience steering deadly tombs. Determined to rewrite his fate, he sets out to claim the world’s most valuable relics before anyone else, beginning his journey to become the legendaryTomb Raider King.
The anime adapts the original manhwa published in English by Yen Press, which describes Jooheon’s quest to use his knowledge of future events to challenge the powerful monopolies built around supernatural relics.
The anime is produced by STUDIO EEK, with Seung Wook Woo, known for his work as an episode director on Hunter x Hunter, serving as both director and series composer.
The creative team also includes Hyun Joung Lee as character designer, Gun Yoon and Kisuke Koizumi as sound directors, and Ju Young Kim as the series’ music composer.
With its first episode now available worldwide, Tomb Raider King joins Crunchyroll’s growing lineup of action-fantasy anime, giving fans of the original manhwa their first chance to experience Jooheon Suh’s relic-filled adventure in animated form.
