Kadokawa World Entertainment is bringing Delicious in Dungeon back into the spotlight with a major new exhibition in Los Angeles, and this time, it is bigger and more interactive than before. Scheduled to run from July 2 to July 26, 2026, the upcoming “Ryoko Kui Exhibition” and “Delicious in Dungeon Exhibition” aim to give fans a deeper look into one of manga’s most distinctive fantasy worlds.
The event follows its earlier U.S. debut in New York and arrives at a strategic moment, launching alongside Anime Expo 2026. However, unlike typical convention showcases, this exhibition is designed as a standalone experience, allowing fans to explore the series in a more detailed and immersive setting over several weeks.
Inside the Exhibition: Art, Process, and Worldbuilding
At its core, the Los Angeles exhibition focuses on celebrating the creative vision of Ryoko Kui, the mind behind Delicious in Dungeon. Visitors will encounter a wide collection of reproduced illustrations from the series, alongside works from Kui’s earlier titles, offering a broader view of her artistic evolution.
The exhibition also places strong emphasis on the creative process behind the manga. According to Kadokawa World Entertainment’s official announcement, fans will be able to view concept sketches, time-lapse drawing footage, and a detailed interview that breaks down how Kui builds her characters, environments, and unique storytelling style. This behind-the-scenes material is positioned as one of the key highlights, especially for those interested in manga creation.
Alongside the artwork, the event introduces immersive elements that bring the series to life. From recreated dungeon settings to displays featuring monsters and food inspired by the story, the exhibition blends visual art with physical experiences. The Los Angeles version will also include new additions not seen in previous international runs, making it a fresh draw even for returning attendees.
Ticket Pricing, Merchandise, and Limited Rewards
Kadokawa has confirmed that tickets are now on sale, with general admission set at $20. Fans who want a more premium experience can opt for an additional $25 add-on, which includes an exhibition-exclusive plate tied to the event. This add-on is only available with a standard ticket purchase.
Every visitor will also receive a collectible postcard upon entry, randomly selected from eight unique designs. This small but notable detail adds a layer of exclusivity, encouraging repeat visits and fan engagement. For collectors, it serves as a limited souvenir tied specifically to the Los Angeles run.
Merchandise is another major attraction. The exhibition will feature a curated selection of imported official items, including products that have not been widely available in the U.S. before. Kadokawa has also teased special bundled ticket options that include exclusive collector items, further enhancing the appeal for dedicated fans.
Why the LA Timing Matters
The overlap with Anime Expo 2026 is no coincidence. By launching during one of the biggest anime events in North America, Kadokawa is positioning the exhibition as an extended experience rather than a competing attraction. Fans attending Anime Expo can visit the exhibition during or after the convention, avoiding the usual time constraints and crowd limitations.
The extended run through late July also ensures accessibility for local audiences who may not attend the expo itself. This approach reflects a broader strategy to expand anime-related experiences beyond convention halls and into dedicated spaces that allow for deeper engagement.
As highlighted in the official press release, the exhibition is intended to create “a dedicated space for fans to fully experience Kui’s work,” reinforcing its role as more than just a promotional event.
