Boruto Uzumaki, Sarada Uchiha, and Mitsuki do not immediately look like a natural team in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. Boruto and Sarada initially dislike being placed together, while Mitsuki is much quieter and more difficult for the others to understand. Their early missions gradually force them to communicate, trust each other, and recognize what each teammate brings to a fight.
Instead of becoming stronger simply through individual training, the three develop by learning how to combine their different abilities. Boruto brings versatility and instinct, Sarada provides leadership and analysis, while Mitsuki offers unusual techniques and dependable support. Their progress eventually turns Team 7 into a coordinated unit capable of handling enemies far stronger than themselves.
The biggest change comes when the trio realizes that winning does not always depend on having the strongest individual fighter. Their experiences during the Chūnin Exams, various missions, and later battles against Kara force them to trust one another under pressure. These experiences transform their relationship from three assigned teammates into genuine friends who are willing to protect each other.
How Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki Become a Stronger Team

Their teamwork begins developing during their first missions. Boruto and Sarada initially struggle with their personalities, but working alongside Mitsuki gradually forces them to communicate instead of acting independently. As they face increasingly complicated missions, they learn when to attack, defend, gather information, and rely on another teammate.
The Chūnin Exams further strengthen their teamwork. The three successfully work through the early stages together, demonstrating that their different abilities complement one another. Sarada’s Sharingan and analytical thinking, Mitsuki’s flexible snake techniques, and Boruto’s creativity give the team several ways to approach an opponent.
Their greatest demonstration of teamwork comes during the fight against Boro. Sarada takes command and analyzes Boro’s mysterious black mist, while Mitsuki uses his snakes and medical knowledge to help identify a countermeasure. Boruto and Kawaki then provide the offensive pressure, showing how the team can combine information, strategy, and power rather than relying on one fighter.
Mitsuki’s loyalty also becomes an important part of Team 7’s strength. He develops an especially deep trust in Boruto and repeatedly chooses to stand beside him, while Sarada becomes increasingly protective of both teammates. Their friendship gives the group an emotional foundation that becomes just as important as their combat abilities.
By the time they face their biggest threats, Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki understand that their greatest advantage is their ability to compensate for one another. Their growth is therefore not simply about gaining stronger jutsu. It is about learning to trust their teammates, recognize their individual strengths, and fight as a single unit.
