The upcoming Overgeared anime is getting a same-day English dub, giving English-speaking fans another way to experience Grid’s journey when the series begins its official release. Crunchyroll announced the dub on September 26, confirming that the English version will premiere alongside the anime’s scheduled launch.
The anime, officially titled Tempal: Item no Chikara, adapts the popular South Korean webtoon created by REDICE STUDIO. Crunchyroll will stream the series internationally, while the Japanese broadcast is scheduled to begin on October 2.
Overgeared English Dub Cast Revealed
According to Crunchyroll’s official announcement, Ricco Fajardo will voice protagonist Grid, with Alexis Tipton playing Irene and Morgan Lauré portraying Yura.
The main English cast also includes Bradley Gareth as Doran, Daniel Van Thomas as Ashur, Reshel Mae as Seira, John Burgmeier as Sakaeda, Jim Johnson as Yazaki and Catherine DuBord as the System AI. Several additional performers will provide supporting voices throughout the series.
Crunchyroll is handling the English dub production, with Justin Cook, Michael Harcourt and Nathanael Harrison serving as studio producers. Emily Fajardo is directing the voice performances, while Jared Smith handles the adaptation.
Overgeared follows Youngwoo Shin, a struggling young man whose fortunes change after he discovers a legendary blacksmithing item inside the virtual reality game Satisfy. The discovery transforms him into the player character Grid and forces him to rebuild his abilities after losing his existing levels.
Ayako Kōno is directing the anime at J.C. Staff, with EGG FIRM producing. Kenta Ihara is overseeing the series composition and character designs, while Yoshiaki Fujisawa is composing the music.
The anime’s opening theme, “SATISFY,” is performed by Re:name, while virtual singer TAO performs the ending theme “Ray of Emotion.”
The Japanese broadcast begins October 2 on Tokyo MX and BS11. Crunchyroll will stream the series, following an earlier U.S. and Canadian theatrical screening through its Crunchyroll Anime Nights program.
