Season 4 picks up after the intense battle in Priestella, where Subaru and his allies managed to secure victory at a high cost. Rem remains trapped in a deep, unending sleep, while Crusch’s memories and even Julius’s identity have been erased by the Authority of Gluttony.
Episode 7 is expected to move the story forward as Subaru begins his journey toward the Pleiades Watchtower, a mysterious location said to hold the answers he desperately needs. The tower is home to Shaula, a “wise man” figure believed to possess vast knowledge that could help reverse the damage caused to his companions.
However, reaching the Watchtower is no easy task. It lies deep within the Auguria Dunes, a massive desert filled with unknown threats and extreme conditions. The danger of this location is underscored by the fact that even Reinhard, one of the strongest characters in the series, failed to conquer it, raising the stakes for Subaru’s mission.
