The official website for Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 3199 has released the first teaser trailer for the anime’s seventh and final chapter, confirming its theatrical debut in Japan on October 30, 2026.
Titled “Nijiiro no Rinne” (The Rainbow-Colored Reincarnation), the finale marks the conclusion of the seven-part remake project that began its theatrical rollout in 2024.
Final Chapter Brings the Yamato 3199 Story to Its End
The newly released teaser offers a preview of the climactic finale while featuring “Ai yo Sono Hi made” (Love, Until That Day) by Akira Fuse. The song originally served as the ending theme for the 1980 anime film Be Forever Yamato, the classic story that inspired much of the Yamato 3199 project.
Unlike a direct remake, Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 3199 combines elements from Be Forever Yamato and the original television series Space Battleship Yamato III, expanding the story into a 26-episode, seven-chapter theatrical production. The sixth chapter, The Azure Labyrinth, premiered in Japanese theaters on June 26, 2026.

Crunchyroll is currently streaming the first 22 episodes of the series in several regions, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and parts of Europe, Africa, and Latin America.
According to Crunchyroll’s official synopsis, the story takes place in 2207, when the mysterious Grand Reverse invades Earth following the disappearance of Gamilas and Iscandar. As humanity faces annihilation, the legendary crew of the Yamato embarks on one final mission through unknown dimensions to determine the fate of mankind.
