Hanarabeez, an original character project by manga artist Yukari Kaneko, is receiving a three-episode short anime. The first episode began streaming on October 26, 2026, through the official YouTube channel of Shueisha’s Ribon magazine. The remaining episodes are scheduled to premiere on November 9 and November 24, with the final installment arriving at noon Japan time.

The series follows the everyday lives of characters who are all teeth. According to the description on Ribon’s YouTube channel, viewers can expect a combination of cute characters, relaxed daily moments, and surreal comedy.

The anime features Hana Satō and Yūki Urushiyama, while FROGMAN, known for creating Eagle Talon, also joins the voice cast. Benpineko is directing the project at animation studio DLE.

The short anime is directed by Benpineko, with Mamoru Suzuki serving as animation director. The production team also includes Chieko Moriya, Chiaki Nishihara, and Tu9Ne in animation, while INSPION Edge handles sound production. The project adapts Kaneko’s original characters for short-form animation rather than a full-length television series.

Hanarabeez is part of Charatan Labo, a character development initiative launched by Ribon in September 2025. The project introduces original characters through manga and illustrations published monthly in the magazine. The short anime brings Kaneko’s unusual tooth characters to a wider audience through YouTube.
