Bagudan: Sono Otoko-tachi Toriatsukai Chūi ni Tsuki, the reverse-harem comedy manga written by Yūichirō Momose and illustrated by Hina Hinata, is set to end on November 24, 2026. The announcement appeared in the December issue of Kodansha’s Monthly Dessert magazine, with the series scheduled to conclude in the magazine’s next issue.
The manga debuted on March 24, 2026. Its first compiled book volume was released on July 13.
What Is Bagudan About?
Bagudan follows Tokiko, a high school student who enjoys playing otome games. Her life takes an unexpected turn when five handsome male characters from a game she plays are reincarnated as her classmates.

Initially thrilled by the situation, Tokiko soon discovers that the characters’ romantic gestures and exaggerated charm do not impress everyone. Instead, their behavior makes her fellow students uncomfortable, creating awkward situations that drive the series’ comedy.
The manga combines familiar reverse-harem tropes with humor about the difference between romantic fantasy and real-life interactions.
Although Bagudan is approaching its conclusion, Momose remains involved in several other creative projects. He launched Gyakusatsu Kigen with artist Shiwasu Hoshikawa in Kodansha’s Afternoon magazine on May 25, 2026.
Momose is also known for his work as the main scenario writer for Hypnosis Mic, King Records’ rap-themed multimedia franchise featuring voice actors performing as original characters.
In August 2025, he launched the Datewars project, a music-focused franchise designed to revisit musical styles spanning the 1970s through the 2000s. Its planned expansion includes manga, anime, mobile games, concerts, films, and stage events.
With Bagudan set to conclude in November, readers can look forward to its final chapter while Momose continues developing projects across manga and multimedia entertainment.
