Anilaza is one of the most unusual opponents Goku and his allies face during the Tournament of Power in Dragon Ball Super. Unlike Goku’s Super Saiyan transformations or the traditional Fusion Dance, Anilaza is created through Universe 3’s advanced technology and a desperate combination of its remaining fighters. The result is a gigantic warrior with immense strength, extraordinary speed, and abilities that make him a serious threat to Universe 7.
The transformation takes place in Episode 121, titled “All-Out War! The Ultimate Four-Fold Union vs. the Seventh Universe’s Total Offensive!” After Universe 3’s earlier fusion fails to defeat Gohan, Goku, and Vegeta, Dr. Paparoni reveals his final secret technique. By merging himself with his team’s remaining mechanical warriors, he creates Anilaza, hoping to eliminate Universe 7 even at the cost of his own life.
HOW ANILAZA’S FUSION WORKS IN DRAGON BALL SUPER
Anilaza’s creation begins with three mechanical warriors from Universe 3: Koitsukai, Pancéa, and Borareta. They combine their bodies to form Koicéareta, a powerful mechanical fighter that initially overwhelms Gohan. However, Goku and Vegeta join the battle, allowing Gohan to unleash a powerful Kamehameha that defeats the fusion.
Dr. Paparoni refuses to accept defeat and activates Universe 3’s ultimate secret technique. He merges with the defeated fusion, combining all four warriors into Anilaza. Unlike the traditional Fusion Dance, this transformation relies on Universe 3’s mechanical technology and combines multiple fighters into one massive warrior.
Anilaza’s enormous body comes with a substantial increase in combat power. He can unleash devastating energy blasts, distort space to create portals for his punches, and use ultrasonic detection to track opponents across the battlefield. These abilities allow him to counter coordinated attacks from Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Android 17, and Android 18.
Universe 7 eventually discovers Anilaza’s weakness when Android 17 identifies the energy reactor powering the giant warrior. He damages the reactor, creating an opening for the remaining Universe 7 fighters to launch a coordinated final assault. Anilaza’s defeat eliminates Universe 3 from the Tournament of Power, demonstrating how its greatest technological achievement ultimately fails against teamwork and tactical thinking.
