The Tournament of Power in Dragon Ball Super reaches a devastating turning point when Universe 2 and Universe 6 are eliminated in the same episode. As the remaining fighters struggle to survive, Universe 7 faces two desperate teams determined to prevent their universes from being erased by Zeno and Future Zeno. Episode 118, titled “Accelerating Tragedy, Vanishing Universes…,” brings these battles to a dramatic conclusion.

Universe 2 relies on the power of love, while Universe 6’s remaining Namekian warriors demonstrate extraordinary strength through an unexpected revelation about their past. However, neither team’s determination is enough to overcome Universe 7’s coordinated attacks. The double elimination also delivers an emotional moment for Beerus and Champa, whose rivalry as twin Gods of Destruction makes Universe 6’s erasure particularly painful.

Universe 2’s downfall begins after Android 17 and Android 18 eliminate Ribrianne and Roasie in Episode 117. In the following episode, Zirloin, Zarbuto, and Rabanra receive encouragement from their universe’s citizens and transform into magical-girl-inspired forms. They unleash their powerful Pretty Black Hole technique, which traps Goku and the two Androids under immense gravitational pressure.

Goku eventually transforms into Super Saiyan Blue and fires a powerful Kamehameha, breaking through the attack and knocking Universe 2’s remaining warriors out of the arena. With all its fighters eliminated, Universe 2 loses the Tournament of Power.

Meanwhile, Gohan and Piccolo face Saonel and Pilina, the last two surviving fighters from Universe 6. The Namekians reveal that they assimilated numerous Namekians from their home planet before entering the tournament, explaining their increased strength and resilience. Their combined power makes the battle difficult, but Gohan and Piccolo refuse to give up.

Piccolo charges his Special Beam Cannon while Gohan attacks with a Kamehameha. Although Pilina attempts to counter Gohan’s attack, Piccolo’s beam pierces through both Namekians, weakening them enough for Gohan to knock them off the tournament stage.

With Universe 6’s final fighters eliminated, the Grand Minister announces the defeat of both universes. Zeno and Future Zeno then erase Universe 2 and Universe 6 from existence. The moment is especially heartbreaking when Champa bids farewell to Beerus, while Cabba’s final words to Vegeta add another emotional layer to the tournament’s most consequential eliminations.
